PROCESS-RELIABLE DEMOULDING – KSW-AW

We decided to use the KSW-AW injector with mechanical actuated ejector when we encountered extraction difficulties at the corners of a molded part near recesses that hindered its exit from the mold. The attached photos clearly show the position of the traditional ejectors, which alone were not sufficient to ensure that the part could be extracted without damage. The integration of ejector-injectors in the corners (position marked in colour) therefore proved to be an effective solution as they can also be used in situations where there is not enough space for traditional ejectors. We are very satisfi ed with the quality and performance of PK products and are happy to share this positive experience”

DEVELOPMENT OF SPECIAL EJECTOR-INJECTORS – K1-50-AW-II

“We are delighted to have enjoyed a trusting and successful partnership with Peter Kröner GmbH for many years. We particularly appreciate their rapid and competent support in addressing challenges that have arisen over the years. One example of this is a problem we encountered with a tool with very small geometry in the area of the filler. Due to the limited space available, we were unable to integrate an ejector for the moulded part, and hence could not remove it from the mold. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of Peter Kröner GmbH, a special ejector filler, the K1-50-AW-II, was developed. This has enabled us to remove the moulded parts without any problems ever since. These fillers have been successfully in use since 2021. We also appreciate their punctual deliveries, which greatly facilitate and stabilise our business processes. We look forward to our future cooperation.“

SUN VISORS FOR THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY – EURO-SN-AWIII

We use PK injectors with integrated ejectors (Type AWIII) for foaming EPP half-shells for the production of sun visors for the automotive industry. Our machine park using these injectors consists of 12 moulding machines equipped with steam chambers with 6-cavities. Two injectors are used per cavity. Our moulded parts have average dimensions of 450 mm x 200 mm x 12 mm and weigh between 30 g and 60 g. To demould our parts at the end of the process, the piston rod extends 50 mm, detaches our parts and pushes them out so that they fall by gravity onto a conveyor belt before being collected for the next production stage.

KRÖNER FILLING TECHNOLOGY FOR EFFICIENT PRODUCTION – KSW-AW

One of our renowned international customers for many years and manufacturer of EPP parts for the automotive industry states the following:
“I highly appreciate the long-lasting partnership with PK; Peter Kröner company has always been a valued supplier for us. We are using PK injectors with ejector function - in our case KSW-AW with mechanical ejection - primarily for small parts for automotive interiors where there is no room for separate injectors and ejector rods. The average size of these parts being 50-70mm, often 6-10 cavities are being operated on a small machine. These fillers have been in use for several years now with very good results: They helped us to safe energy , to reduce the amount of scrap in the production process, and to improve our manufacturing operations with a safer and more equal demoulding.“

SMART SOLUTION FOR COMPLEX CONTOURS AND LIMITED SPACE

“As part of our production processes, we successfully use Kröner KSW-AW ejector fillers in the dimensions 10x25 and 10x50 (d2xL2). These fillers are used particularly for components with complex contours or in situations where the available space does not allow the filler and ejector to be placed at the required distance. In the past, we were regularly confronted with the challenge of insufficient space for fillers and ejectors, both in tool preparation and in the set-up process. In production, this meant that the components had to be demoulded using air alone. This was not a reliable process. In addition, the limited space considerably increased the installation times for the tools. By using Kröner injectors with ejector function, we were able to efficiently solve these problems. The special design enabled us to make best possible use of the available space while significantly reducing preparation and installation times. The fillers have proven themselves both for smaller accessory components and for large inserts and component carriers, and contribute signifi cantly to increasing our production efficiency.”
